Found out that my painting "Hoops" was accepted into the Frances N. Roddy Open  Competition
this year. I am very excited since the last time I got a painting into this exhibit was four years ago.
Very stiff competition as always. Over the years... I found the work that is submitted is always amazing and I am always puzzled at the work that ultimately gets rejected. There is a lot of really great talent out there. I guess my motto is: Never give up!

Just received my copies of Highlights Hidden Pictures in the mail today. Always an exciting moment when I open the package from a publisher and see what I created. This time I got the cover for their September/ October issue. This is a whole new idea for Highlights. These quarterly magazines will be sold in stores as opposed to being part of their subscription. Enjoy!!

So excited to say... that I have moved from my old studio #218 to a new larger better functioning studio #325. I am still at Western Avenue Studios, Lowell, MA, but I decided I needed a larger space to accommodate my oversized paintings. I am also planning on teaching this year, so when I completely move-in, I will be putting together a schedule and plan for this coming year. If you are in the area... please stop by and see what I am up to!

Dropped off three paintings at The Blue Glass Cafe last week in between all of the craziness that was going on in Boston. Had a little window of opportunity to drive in, hang the work and leave before the traffic started. The cafe is located at 200 Clarendon Street, Hancock Building in downtown Boston.
Check it out!

New Collection

Working on a new collection that I am hoping will attract a different kind of customer then for my Snazzy Gals series. Still very colorful and playful adding the element of groupings into the design. I am really enjoying playing around with the idea of sea creatures and insects.

Exhibits

Couple of shows coming up this year. I will be exhibiting my Snazzy Gals at the Millbrook Gallery in Concord, NH this Summer along with an Illustrators show at the Zeitgeist Gallery in Lowell, MA in June. I am sure there will be more fun and exciting shows to share as the year goes on. Enjoy!

"The Cat's Meow"

"The Cat's Meow" Acrylic on canvas. This is definitely the largest painting that I have done as of yet. It measure 44 x 63". Sending it down to the Sher Gallery in Aventura, Florida.  They will be stretching it down there and hopefully the customers will love it so I can do another one that size. Lot's of fun!

Flower Paintings

I have been playing around with some flower paintings. I have tried to keep them fast and fresh looking.  They are all done with acrylic on paper. Giclee prints of these images and all of my work, are available. Let me know if you are interested. Enjoy!

Here is a painting that I sent down to the Sher Gallery in Florida. Hopefully they had some good feedback and sales on my work. I will have to call them this week and find out how things went.  Happy New Year!
